LENNOX The night has been unruly: where we lay,
Our chimneys were blown down; and, as they say,
Lamentings heard i' the air; strange screams of death,
And prophesying with accents terrible
Of dire combustion and confused events
New hatch'd to the woeful time: the obscure bird
Clamour'd the livelong night: some say, the earth
Was feverous and did shake.
MACBETH 'Twas a rough night.
Actually, it went quite well... despite the facts:
we'd only run it once
certain scenes in Act V had only been rehearsed once or twice
the director made sweeping last-minute changes to Act V that he announced upon our arrival
We rock ; )
Heck, I even got the audience to yell "Who's there?!" not once, but several times.
M and E and A and D saw it last night-- and surprised me with a dozen roses. Yum. And they bought me a Newcastle after the show. Doubleyum!
I'm exhausted, but there's no rest for the wicked (witch); I'm off to do it all again... (well, minus the roses...)
Thanks for the warm thoughts and broken legs... Hope you're having a loverly day : )
