I had tea this morning for the first time in ages. It's rare these days that I'll indulge in a caffeinated morning beverage. I always used to, but now that I'm self-employed, it's rare.
Today's tea: Green Tea w/ Cranberry Pomegranate :)
Yesterday, I did set construction from 10a 'til 2p, then had a great lunch at Las Marg's (enchiladas suiza-- my favourite!-- I just had the leftovers for lunch), forgot my wallet at home (d'oh!), ran back and got it, and then visited the PRIDE WEEK ART SHOW! OK, it wasn't really a Pride Week art show, but they had big rainbow banners announcing the show, and it happens to be the start of Pride Week. So there.
Heart is hard as stone or mahogany, That's why I'm in such exquisite agony
I bought a surprisingly-inexpensive blue natural pearl necklace and earrings, and a big expensive hand-made jewelry chest made from quarter-sawn African Mahogany. I spent nearly all of my allowance. But hey, that's what allowance is for, right?! I'll have to show you a picture. I loved the jewelry-box guy. They had a few gorgeous pieces there that were more like works of art than actual jewelry boxes, but they were either made out of soft wood, or too expensive.
In retrospect, perhaps I should have given him my budget and asked him if he could make one of the artsy ones in a hardwood. The artsy ones had backs that were worthy of display, and I could just imagine one being shown on Antiques Roadshow in 50 years. However, an artsy one wouldn't have had the same amount of space that this one does, and the wood on mine is really is quite gorgeous. The guy was showing all the boxes off, and he just glowed when he talked about this one. The best part? The inserts are all removable in pieces, so you can customize the drawers' interiors. Oh, and the drawers are different heights (that's pretty cool, too). Guess I will just have to take a photo of it for you :)
I luffs it. I don't have a lot of expensive jewelry or anything, but it will be nice to be able to organize and wear what I've got instead of wonder where it all is. Plus, being able to organize on a small scale helps me organize on larger scales.
Paul and Zack and the Thank You pudding
Paul's still in Milan. He's had to lengthen his stay, so he won't be back until Thursday. This sucks, because Zack's bday party is Wednesday. Well, what can one do? I'll have to go shopping for presents tomorrow. We're just having a few people over to Beef's (note to self-- buy kiddie tablecloth, plates and hats). My little baby almost-wicked-stepson is going to be 18 :D
This is more a note to myself than "something to post about." Zack has mentioned, several times over the years, a food from his childhood that he wishes he could revisit: "Thank You Chocolate Pudding." I've looked everywhere for this apparently imaginary product, to no avail.
Well, today I found it: http://www.c-els.com/sfc/pc/default.asp?sn=E020720060050180&ss=1&bsn=E032020061976183&bp=4&pupcid=10324
Holy smokes. It really exists! Too bad it's loaded with hydrogenated oils. Well, I might have to buy a can or three for him anyway.
And kitten, too
Little kitten is still Trouble. Getting him fixed did nothing to slow him down. All day long, he's all like "look mommy it's my tail! I can chase my tail! look! it's my shadow! watch how I can kill your leg! look! I can climb up the back of your chair onto your head and attack your ears! now I'm all curled up on your lap, and I'm adorable! look, I'm even more adorable now! bit your elbow, haha! cute! death! cute! death! looook!" What bugs me most is when he jumps onto Max's chair and attacks or washes him. Max is 18, and just isn't into the whole "play" thing. Max is into the whole "hey, watch me nap on my chair" vibe. ("Look at me. Or don't look at me. Whatever. I'm napping. Are we having lunch soon? That's great.") Gracie just plays the good big sister and hisses at him occasionally, or walks up to him and bops him on the head if he isn't behaving.
Well, I finally made 70 weekend-before-last :) I've been playing more often this past week, and enjoying it immensely.
I'm trying to get all the cool questy items. After that, I'll probably look into changing guilds. Right now, I'm considering Gypsy Cab Company and Brave Sir Robin's Men.
I don't have a lot of time to commit, but it might be nice to raid once in awhile, y'know?
I'm still in Bad Moon, but I just killed all the frat boys, so I should be done soonishly. Yay :) I actually had to take more than a few days off this month, what with rehearsals and all.
And back to me!
Oomph. I'm still sore from doing set construction. I love set construction, but it always takes a toll on me, no matter how much I work out at the gym. Not sleeping well last night probably isn't helping things. I'm not sure why, but I had a lot of nightmares last night, and kept waking up. Weird.
Tonight I have rehearsal. From there I could go to the Big Lebowski party, but I doubt I will. I'll probably come home and either A. collapse or B. go questing.
Before I go, here's the Nifty Link o' the Day:
Lucky pennies-- each is hand-painted with the detailed location in which it was found.
And with that, I'm done for now. <3
PS-- My condolences to all who knew danigolden.
