Con was nifty! I'll have to do a quick con report at some point. I was sick through most of it (sinus infection from hell), but I somehow survived.
Rehearsals are going well-- we have a big vocal rehearsal tonight that covers just about everything... except "our" song, which we'll do Sunday, right before our first dance rehearsal (also for our song!). I almost don't have the heart to remind our wonderful vocal director that I'm an alto, and pretty pathetic at the higher notes he's recently assigned me, but I guess we'll see what happens Sunday.
Several people today have pointed me to Stephen Fry's blog-- so let me point as well. (There's an LJ rss feed at
What else? Oh, I went to the gym for the first time since the 6th (when I upped EVERY SINGLE ONE of my weights!), and did so well that they UPPED EVERY SINGLE ONE of my weights again! I guess being lazy for two+ weeks isn't necessarily a bad thing. STRONG LIKE BULL, YES.
We're thinking of staying in Florida for another couple of years. Oddly enough, the condo for rent/sale we keep driving past, thinking we should call, is having an open house Sunday. Paul asked if it were a sign. It was! It was on a pole.
Today, I recorded a number of bits for a character demo and an e-learning demo. I'll edit and add music and stuff tomorrow, and should have them ready to add to the "regular" demo and go out by Monday. Hooray for progress! Oh, and I called yesterday for an appointment for a principal audition at our regional state-run theatre. Holy smokes, I have to learn a monologue like a "real" actor! Wait, I am one. Hee.
OK, it's after four already; I need to shower and then run to the fishmonger's and the cheese shoppe. I just love saying that :) (Say it: "fishmonger's." I knew thatcha could!) We really do have a fishmonger's and a cheese shoppe, and the latter even has cheese (and several thousand bottles of wine). It's quite like I imagine Heaven, except that everything costs money.
Hope you are all well and happy and following your bliss :)
