(Mine was actually black. Pretend this one is black.)
What a great effing camera that was. Farewell, dear S50. You served me well.
It would have taken $140 to fix it. Not too terrible all things considered... but Paul and I had been talking about getting something smaller, anyway. So when Canon offered to replace it with an SD550 for $175, I was all over it.
(I expect that his will be "champagne." Pretend this one is beige.)
So, Paul has a new camera. I'm hoping he'll let me borrow it, once he gets it (it's on backorder).
As for me, I just got my new S3 today from Amazon.
(It's really more gun metal grey than black. Honest. Pretend this one is gun metal grey.)
It's more camera than I need, and it's too big to take everywhere... but OMG CAMERAGASM.
I should receive my memory cards early next week. In the meantime, I'll be enjoying my camera the hard way... five photos at a time (or video in three second increments).
Expect more photos from me in the days and weeks to come :)
