Yesterday's lunch...

Hm, forgot to post about yesterday's lunch!

Yesterday's lunch was South Beach Diet SAVORY PORK WITH PECANS & GREEN BEANS

Once again, of all the ingredients, the most notable is sodium-- it gives you 700mg, 29% of your daily value. In comparison to other frozen meals, it rates a bit above average on the salt scale. Probably fine for most people.

Other ingredients seem really good, with the possible exception of coconut oil, which is so far down the listing that it's probably negligible.

As expected, it's really not as pretty as the box.



Yum-- beige plastic trays!

The pork was... really very good. I mean VERY good. I don't generally like pork at all (I originally bought this one for Paul), but it was the last one in the freezer, and I was hungry. And I was surprised. Deeelicious. I ended up leaving a lot of the sauce in the tray-- not sure how that affects the calories.

The green beans were decent-- nothing to write home about.

I'd give this a four out of five. My brain wants to give it three-- hey, it's PORK, and ugly pork at that-- but it was really good. So it gets a three-and-a-half, rounded up to four. (I haven't yet bothered to make a half-heart graphic.)



"Yesterday's Lunch" doesn't sound nearly as appealing as "Today's Lunch," but I don't think I have time to do today's right now (Kashi Southwest Style Chicken). It was very good, though :) Maybe I can get to it later!
