*sigh* I could get used to this...
It was 95°F/35°C out today; according to Accuweather, it felt like it was 106°F/41°C. I didn't really notice the heat until I was done.
I slathered on 45 sunblock and sat in the shade, but I was beet red by the time I got home. It's faded already, so I don't seem to have a real sunburn. Just a lot of freckles :)
The Gogame was fun. I sat and played mandolin, and when groups came up to me with their secret password ("I need some music for my happy feet" or somesuch), I played Beatles tunes until they figured out who the artist was.
Everybody got the answer... eventually.
I was surprised at how many people didn't know that Ob-la-di Ob-la-da, or Michelle, or When I'm 64 were Beatles songs. A lot of people pegged Ob-la-di Ob-la-da as a Jimmy Buffet tune. He'd probably do a bitchin' version of it, but, um, no.
Good people, though. Nationwide Insurance. It looked to me like everybody got to pick their group-- at least, it seemed as though the different echelons of employees were cut along group lines. I found that interesting, for some reason. Ironically, those who appeared to be the higher-ups seemed to have the hardest time playing name that tune. Someone in the middle echelon actually phoned a friend. She gets either +2 points for ingenuity or -2 points for cheating, I'm not sure which.
If I had the chance to do it again, and worry less about the music and have more fun getting into character and mucking around with the people. As it was, I didn't do much character work today. But we all had fun, and that's what matters :)
The bums, junkies, homeless folk and other assorted park people in the park helped the groups on their way. It was kind of funny-- they were really getting into the spirit of the thing! "NOOOOO-- Make a LEFT to get to the SHOE STORE! A LEEEEEEFFFFFT! Dammit, woman, where's my dog?!"
I'd do it again, for sure.
