It looks like the play I auditioned for has been cast. It was cast traditionally-- everybody is in their 50s. Interestingly enough, though, I got a call from the director asking me to read again for the one part I wasn't seriously auditioning for (The Snake Woman, a role that usually calls for "ethnic casting"). She said I "captured the essence of the role," even with the short reading I did.
"Ethnic casting," and they're considering the whitest woman in all of Florida. I love it :)
