I'm really clueless about this one. I don't think I've heard it in years!
I also don't have a copy of it to share. I'm humming it, if that helps.
Remember when I built this computer back in 2002? Well, it's aging, as all good computers do... thankfully, it's aging very well. I'll eventually need to replace the mobo and processor, but for now, I'm just adding little things. Like Monday night, I added another stick of RAM. Now it's got a gig of ECC unbuffered. When I return from my trip north, I'll add a new HD (my 60 gig data drive is maxxed out).
Here's my dilemma... I can get a Seagate Barracuda 160 gig for ~$65... or I can get a 250 gig for just $15 more.** Normally this wouldn't be a dilemma, but A.) I don't really need 250 (I think) B.) they run a little hotter and my office is already pretty hot from my comp and C.) when I replace the mobo and processesor, won't I want to move on to SATA? I'm currently using ATA100.
I'm leaning toward the 250, despite all this. Mmmmmm. 250.
Holy smokes. I went to link the 250 gig, and this is what I got:

That's what I get for hesitating, I guess! DARNIT! Just when I was sold on it, too!
I popped a note off to Newegg. Perhaps I'm just meant to go with the 160!
"We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We currently do not have any information on the availability of this item. We will post this item on our website if or when it becomes available. Please check all prices and availability at www.newegg.com for our most up-to-date status. We need an entertainment stand for our new TV. Let me restate that: We need a CHEAP entertainment stand for our new TV.
OK, let me re-restate that: We need a good-looking yet budget-conscious solution to our TV stand dilemma (ooh, there's that word again!).
I found this:
Less than $300
Fits the TV and all our stuff
Has room for knicknacks
Matches the bookcase!
The model looks a little cluttered, but that's OK. I think this will work for us quite well :)
The audition last night went swimmingly.
Remember that upscale little Italian restaurant near my house? Yeah, we sat out on their patio on the street and I acted like a lunatic for an hour.***
The director was very impressed, and I made her and her AD laugh on several occasions.
However, they both said I looked about 22. The role is 40s-60s (depending on casting). So it's possible that I could get cast, but I wouldn't count on it.
Still, if I'm not going to get cast for something, "looking too darned young" ain't the worst reason in the world :)
Tomorrow, Zack and I head to New York. I'm totally unprepared, on so many levels.
My KOL character is doing gourdcore-- oxy style. 'Cause I'm badass like dat.
I'm a zombie! He's a zombie! She's a zombie! They're both zombies! Wouldn't you like to be a zombie, too?
Well, that's all I've got for now. Hope you're having a fantabulous day :)
~Hugs to those who need 'em, those who want 'em, and those who don't run away quickly enough~
ADDENDUM: RIP, you crazy diamond
* The song that's playing in my head when I wake up
** Haha, a 250 gig Barracuda costs about as much as a 40 gig Barracuda did in 2002!
*** In truth, I acted like four distinctly different lunatics.
