Princes and Princesses
Instead of painting, I watched The Princess Bride. :)

I regret it not one bit.

One quick thing before I collapse into covers... from the "My Life Is Too Weird to Make This Stuff Up" department:

There was once this guy I dated in high school. He didn't take well to our breaking up.

He tracked me down once, about ten years ago-- drove up in hundred degree weather with his then two year old child, and tried to make the moves on me.

He tracked me down again through email a few years later. I told him I was fine with the occasional note saying "the kids and wife are fine," but that my memories of life in New Jersey were less than fond, and I'd rather not re-initiate contact. And that was that.

Or so I thought.

I received a letter from him today. Handwritten on lined yellow paper. From a correctional institution.

I won't divulge it's contents, but I will share with you the first line:
What's up I don't know why Im writing to you maybe it because we broke up 20 years ago all because I was stupid and imature as you can tell by the envelope that this letter came in I screwed up big time I was just doing something that Ive done 1,000 times and

Actually, there isn't much punctuation, so rather than share the entire first line I'll just leave it at that.

Paul suggested I move to another state and change my name. I think I might take him up on that ;)

To bed go I. Hope you are all well and happy and pursuing your bliss :)

I'm feeling all kinds of: to bed!

And here I thought that *I* was the only one that attractred criminals! =D

I believe I've had one or two letters like that. I just have to shake my head, kinda laugh and think to myself, "man, how DID they get there..."

I hear Florida is miserable this time of year? Maybe the company makes it better? ;-)

Eek!

Makes me glad that the guy I had to let down easy in high school (see icon of me as a junior in '73) never responded to my pleas to remain good friends in college and became a neurosurgeon with a wife and kids who I've never heard from again, amen.

did you make it clear you didnt want to speak to him?
If it got worse you could go to police.
I've dealt with a couple female-stalker-problem types, but none actually physically after me and not as an adult. Name change would be last resort :P

I did make it clear, but I'm not really worried. I've had worse stalkers :P

The moving and the name change are a given, but for much happier reasons unrelated to any prior relationships :)

wow, don't think I can top that one.
I'd agree with Paul
