A classy broad's life... with footnotes.
I've now watched every bloody episode of Love Hina.

My sweetie has no money (that's it; we're through!).

My left pinky nail is painted in a colour called "flippin'" which is alternately gray, pink, blue, and green.

I just used an Oxford comma.

And I'm going to bed :)

I'm feeling all kinds of: content? we don't need no steenking content!

Re: my only question...

The Oxford comma is also known as the serial comma. It's the comma that is sometimes (but not always) placed before the word "and" in a list:

She had an x, a y, and a z.

No! I'm seriously considering ordering them... or having Paul pick them up when he goes to Japan later this year.

I have no firm stand on the Oxford (aka serial) comma. I use it when it makes sense to do so, and I don't use it when it's not needed. How's that for a grammar maven? :)

Weird-- we wrote our replies at about the same time!
ldy From: ldy Date: June 2nd, 2004 07:34 am (UTC) (permalink)
I feel the same way about it.

However, I used it when it wasn't actually necessary to do so! I am a grammar maven who lives on the edge! *guitarchord!*

so I attempt to check this thing out and what happens? the comp shuts down completely! *giggles* the library comps are not compatible with the program it takes to run the toons *giggles more* so I'll just have to see if the local vid store has said items up for hock. ;)
ldy From: ldy Date: June 2nd, 2004 07:37 am (UTC) (permalink)
I hope you can find them; they're a real joy to watch :)

Leave it to you to explodey the library comps! ;D
