Con "report" to come; maybe tomorrow. For real this year. I'm just taking out the naughty bits.

Heh. Two things I love: dragons and kites. I actually found a rather intriguing dragon kite at the con. This wasn't in the "dragon kite" genre of kites; it was more of a delta shape with a colourful wooden dragon attached to cloth backing. Spent at least half an hour picking out just the right one. It was the only dragonconnish thing I'd bought besides a T-shirt. I'd grown quite attached to it and was really looking forward to putting it up somewhere. Had my colours and everything. It was soooo "me." Since it was too bulky to take on the plane, I asked the Poet to take it home for later retrieval.

I just told the Poet to give it to The Boy, because he thought it was cool.

Colour me a wee bit frightened at my Almostnotquiteatallwickedstepmomish behaviour.

The one thing The Poet bought? A print of Aucassin and Nicollette by Marianne Stokes, because it looks like us. It does, too.

We didn't know it was called Aucassin and Nicollette. It said "untitled" on the poster.

A bit of research reveals the story of Aucassin and Nicolette to be a good one. A thirteenth century chantefable, it was one of the first mediaeval French love stories (if not the first) to have a happy ending. It's like a double hero quest, because both of them had adventures. The story even includes pirates. Seriously.

How perfect is that?

I see him and The Boy again in two and a half weeks. Why does that seem so long?

I hope to catch up with comments tomorrow sometime.

Goodnight, moon :)
