This describes me at a younger age to a T. And I am floored.
While I think my social skills are rather well-developed, and I seem to be generally well-liked, my social skills were learned at very a late age, and learned as a second-language-- analysed and understood on an intellectual level. Emotional understanding came as an after-effect (or perhaps I do not have a true sense of emotional understanding, and just don't know it).
I wonder how different my life might be if I had been treated for this (or some other form of MPDD) as a child.
