The root of all hardware maths plays huts

So, I had an on and off tooth problem last week.

This morning, I went to see a dentist friend. He referred me to an Endodontist, who was able to see me this afternoon.

The long and the short of it is: I got a root canal today.

Everybody was so friendly, and the facility was gorgeous. The entire procedure, including several x-rays, took only an hour.

Did I mention it was completely painless? Hooray for specialization!

To help with my recovery, Paul bought me this book today: Pirateology.

Yup. A pirate book I can touch. I'm head over heels.

Remember when I couldn't decide between the 160GB and 250GB replacement drive for my computer?

I went for a 320GB drive. Seriously, it was the best price point.

Imafreak.

I suppose I could make it an external, but I don't have usb 2.0 yet. USB 2.0 PCI cards are under $10 now, so perhaps I'll rectify that situation, too. I could get a second 320 drive and do backups! O_O

OK, maybe some other time. I don't even want to begin researching which of these things have pin connectors for my front USB.

I am, however, also grabbing a DVD-RW drive that happens to be on sale. Why not, right? It's not like I just spent $800 freaking dollars on some rubber in my tooth or anything :P

I'm not sure whether I'll get rid of my CD-RW or my DVD-Rom. Whichever's louder, I guess!

I've been reading. I just blew through this book, am starting this one, and am finishing this book inbetween.

The Chaos book is particularly intriguing... but I needed a silly break from it for a bit :) My next "serious" book will be a return to Phi or Godel Escher and Bach. What can I say; I'm feelling mathy.

The play is a no-go. The director called me this weekend to let me know that she found someone "of Carribean descent" for the role.

Still, I like to think that maybe, at least, I've made a connection here, so all is not lost :)

OK, I'm exhausted. Time for sleepies.

I hope you are all well and happy and pursuing your blissessesseses.

~Huts to those who need 'em, those who want 'em, and those who don't run away quickly enough~

Yes, huts. The typo is making me giggle so I'm leaving it where it is :)
