Congratulations Canada on legalizing staplers!

I had such a fantabulous time in Toronto!

We had sex in the city over and over and over again.

Friday night, Buck got me drunk on goldschlflaghghgher.

Saturday, Stephanie definitely didn't molest me in her bed.

And on Sunday, Kip and I went down on some fine poutine together.

The end.

(OK, there's more-- lots more-- but I'm not sure when I'll get around to posting about it all!)

Seriously, it was great seeing so many friends, new and old.

I'll try to get some photos posted this week :)

Paul got his son back!!
Paul got his son back!!
Paul got his son back!! least temporarily :D

Nobody expected them to show up in court today.

Evidently, his (soon-to-be-ex-) wife thought that he was trying to kill her.

And yet, she wholeheartedly agreed that he should have custody of Zack.

Have I mentioned her schizophrenia before? Uhm, yeah.

Anywho, Zack sounds great, and the relief in my sweety's voice is just... so wonderful to hear.

Sadly, he won't be able to leave the state for awhile, but things are looking up.

Divorce proceedings are proceeding :)

Thanks for all the good thoughts, folks! This is like a great weight off of my shoulders.

Diana Krall - Let's Face the Music & Dance

(no subject)

I watched fireworks in the rain tonight,
standing in the middle of the street
on a cool green island by the hospital

I had a too-sweet alcoholic drink
in a plastic cup with a straw
my key in my back pocket
my home a half a block away

And the world stood with me
and watched the pretty colours
spatter the wet gray sky

And I thought of you again
and wondered what you'd think
as a maple shook with my laughter
and rivulets descended from its comforting leaves
and I couldn't help but smile and gasp
as the cold rain ran down my back

and the sky erupted
in a giggle of gunpowder
and nobody died
