rubbah and horns

"I love how you sing when you do dishes."

Funny, I'd always hoped for someone who would appreciate that I sing and hum old songs when I do chores. It may sound stupid, but it's something I'd always genuinely hoped for... a goofy heart's desire that I don't think I've ever shared with anyone. It's not like I can really sing or anything.

So Lares and Penates are in on the cosmic joke, too :)

I am the world's lightest sleeper. He insisted on getting antisnoringstuff so I could sleep.

Out of the blue, he sang "Til There Was You" and danced with me in the antisnoringstuff aisle.

I nearly cried from joy, but laughed instead.

Earlier, I'd heard that same song for the first time in decades on the preshow (intermission?) music, and had idly, achingly, and perhaps egotistically wondered if I'd crossed anyone's mind when that particular CD of lovesongs was created ('twas a pirate what pirated those songs).

C'mon, laugh. It's funny, you know.

Life doesn't always give you want you want.

But if you open your heart to the universe and say "I'm ready, now," you may be happily surprised at what you get.

Lord knows I am.

Life is short, and often brutal. While love goes on forever, relationships often change.

Dance in the antisnoringstuff aisles while you can.

I learned the secret of winning your heart. And then I knew it was just a matter of time.

Really? And what was was the secret to winning my heart?

Pfft-- easy. Complete and utter honesty, unconditional love, and making you laugh.

I laughed. He was right.
