Virus alerts

The Bugbear e-mail worm (also known as Tanatos), first seen on Monday, September 30, has now passed Klez as the most common virus currently in the world. Read more about it here.

Linux.Devnull is a worm that, like Slapper, uses the OpenSSL vulnerability on Apache servers. However, its mechanisms are rather different. Read more about it here.

In related (old) news, think it's nifty that f-secure joined the Slapper peer-to-peer and is graphing infected machines in real-time.

I'm still not really here, folks. Hope to get net access up and running at home by next week. Hope you are all well and happy :)
