Word Tiles of Doom & Desperation
I love Scrabulous. I really do. And I think I'm getting better at it!

Perhaps my most closely-matched opponent is Adam B., who apparently hails from England. I say "apparently," because I've never met him. In fact, he's my only Scrabulous opponent that I don't know irl (or from here on lj). Most of our games are within a few points of being a tie.

I hates him.

You know. In that good way :)

(I ended up going with "partaken"-- I honestly couldn't find a single other word to make!)

As ferret says, it's whenever-you-want-to-play. Play a whole game in twenty minutes, or spread it out over a month.

Scrabulous.com offers other options, as well... but I particularly like facebook.com's interface. It's worth having a facebook account in and of itself! (Bonus: Facebook's free.)

I don't even know what SOWPODS is!

Heh, we should try a game. It apparently has more words, which could come in handy those times we're completely stuck and are just moving tiles around hoping for the best. (What, that never happens to you?!)

Please use "weta" in a sentence? I'm unfamiliar.

By virtue of their ability to cope with variations in temperature, weta can be found in a variety of environments including alpine, forests, grasslands, caves, shrub lands and urban gardens.

Are you going to eat that weta? Because I'll take it if you aren't.

Ooh. I miss playing Scrabble. Want to play? :)
surrealist_geek From: surrealist_geek Date: January 2nd, 2008 08:54 pm (UTC) (permalink)
I signed up to that a few weeks ago, haven't played a game yet. You'll pwn me (at least at first), but I'll poke you at some stage. I've played very little actual Scrabble, but I should be decent at this.
ldy From: ldy Date: January 3rd, 2008 08:46 pm (UTC) (permalink)
Oh, yes-- let's play! I bet you're great at it :)

Re: there's my mind for you...

I played "bogie" in the next game. My misspent youth is coming in handy! ;)

Ha! Great layout of words :)

I take it that must be you in Gainsville when I search on your name? Pictured with someone whom I either don't know or don't remember meeting? I'll add ya if that's you and then we can play too! :)
